On CNN’s Don Lemon Tonight, Marc Lamont Hill exchanged words with Bruce Levell over Trump using black celebrities to gain Black America’s trust.

It was a bunch of mediocre Negroes being dragged in front of TV as a photo op for Donald Trump’s exploitative campaign against black people.” Hill says to Levell.

In Hill’s defense, he was making a distinction between the black celebrities Trump parades in front of the cameras like a comedian, an athlete, and a rapper, as opposed to much more qualified analysts like Michael Eric Dyson and Cornel West, who can REALLY challenge Trump’s views.

Power’s Naturi Naughton visited ‘VH1 Live’ with Marc Lamont Hill and the interview got a little more interesting when Hill brought up an alleged shade from Lil Kim. Lil Kim allegedly did not want Naturi near her at the recent VH1’s Hip Hop Honors Award after party.

It’s been eight years since Naturi portrayed Kim in ‘Notorious’, and you’d think Kim would squash whatever problem she’s had with Naturi already. Kim obviously squashed the beef with Faith, which was obvious at the Honors. Why can’t she do the same with Naturi?

All I know is…I had the pleasure and honor of playing Lil Kim in the film, Notorious. I would love to have her, you know, some kind of affinity.

My thing is…I was a first-time actress in a film, this was the beginning of my career, I’m a little black girl from Jersey – why not uplift and support that?

I’ve always appreciated and loved her work and I wish her nothing but the best.

Marc Lamont Hill, who is most known as the host of ‘Huffington Post Live’, is NOW gearing up for his own late night talk show.

VH1 has recently announced Hill’s show, ‘VH1 Live’ , to premiere Sunday, July 17th at 10/9c. The show will focus on Current Events and Pop Culture. That’s right up Hill’s alley, as Hill is known as one of the leading intellectual voices in this country. His dedication to spreading awareness about black culture, pop culture, and politics is why VH1 made the perfect choice for host. He’s also why he’s one of our picks of those we’d like to see more of in 2016.

Will you tune in?
