Imagine a world where a child isn’t mistreated because of the way she/he looks….

I think it’s important to teach our children that our black is beautiful, so the trauma this beautiful little girl has experienced won’t happen.
Meet 10-year-old Kheris Rogers. The Los Angeles 5th Grader shares how she had to transfer from her mostly white school to a more racially diverse one to avoid being bullied for her dark skin. Unfortunately, the problem resurfaces at her new school… from her Black classmates.

Hit play below for more on her story.
I’m so glad Kheris didn’t let the ignorance she’s endured keep her from flexin’ her gorgeous complexion. I applaud her big sis who stepped up with the fashion show, social media support, and the help with T-Shirt line. Nothing destroys colorism like showing the world how much you love the skin you’re in. The ignorance will die when we stop perpetuating fair skin as the only standard of beauty.
Let’s teach out little girls to love themselves.
