India on Saturday demanded that Pakistan take concrete steps against terrorists operating from its territory, while at the same time returning its top diplomat to Islamabad amid an easing of tensions between the nuclear rivals.

Pakistan Foreign Minister Shah Mehmood Qureshi, while speaking to reporters on Wednesday, said Mahmood would be sent back to New Delhi, as Islamabad intends to "de-escalate" tensions with India, and normalise relations with the eastern neighbour.

"But till today, however, Pakistan has failed to take any credible action against JeM and other terrorist organisations, which continue to operate with impunity from Pakistan".

The development came days after a rare aerial dogfight between India and Pakistan over Azad Kashmir ignited fears of an all-out conflict, with world powers rushing to urge restraint.

Kumar said a recent United Nations statement also called for "perpetrators, organizers, financiers and sponsors of terrorism to be held accountable and brought to justice".

The charges include conspiracy to steal trade secrets, attempted theft of trade secrets, wire fraud and obstruction of justice. That followed the Canadian government's announcement Friday that the extradition proceeding would be allowed to continue.

"This government will not allow Pakistan's land to be used for any kind of outside terrorism", Khan said while addressing a rally in southern Pakistan.

In a pinpointed and swift air strike that lasted less than two minutes, India pounded JeM's biggest training camp in Pakistan on February 26, killing up to 350 terrorists and trainers who were moved there for their protection after the February 14 attack on a CRPF convoy in Pulwama in which 40 soldiers were killed.

Bisaria who had been recalled to New Delhi last month returned to Islamabad upon the completion of consultations in India. It also says shut a number of facilities and frozen assets of several outlawed organizations. Islamabad denied it helps the militant Islamist group and asked India to share proof.

Meanwhile Pakistani officials maintain the crackdown is part of a long-planned drive and not a response to Indian anger. Pakistan said the strike only damaged three trees in a forest. The Indian pilot was later released by Islamabad as a "peace gesture". However, a day after on February 27, Pakistan attacked Indian military installation with as many as 20 fighter jets, the official claimed.
