Manchester United took 'big step backwards' in Wolves loss - Solskjaer

Raul Jimenez's strike on the turn and a superb solo effort from Diogo Jota put Wolves on course for victory against a ragged United side lacking the skill, verve and intensity that Solskjaer had instilled.

"This was a big step backwards, mainly because of the quality of the possession and the passing".

The Norwegian said his team's performance in the 2-1 defeat at Molineux was the "poorest" of his time in charge at Old Trafford as United slumped to back-to-back defeats for the first time since Jose Mourinho's final two games as manager.

Solskjaer continued: "Some of the players go away with the national teams and they'll enjoy the break".

"I didn't think we had enough quality in the last third, enough combination play", added Solskjaer.

Despite having much of the ball and countless opportunities to put themselves in front, the Red Devils never really troubled the Wanderers.

Speaking at his Friday morning press conference, Solskjaer said, via the club's official app: "We're still getting players back".

This certainly means that the company would be launching its much-rumoured subscription services for video and news. APPLE HAS CONFIRMED that it's holding an event on 25 March where it'll unveil its long-awaited Netflix competitor.

Should United win at Molineux on Saturday night, it would take Solskjaer's record as manager to 15 wins from 19 games.

United have two weeks off for the global break before resuming their push for a top-four finish with a home game against Watford and they also have a Champions League quarter-final with Barcelona to look forward to. It's very disappointing that we're not in the semis.

"You can't sit and sulk too long", he said.

"Wolves have already beaten Liverpool under the lights in the FA Cup, in round three, but Jurgen Klopp made a lot of changes for that game, and I don't see Solskjaer doing the same".

"We've played so much worse and won games and that's the odd thing when you're a manager". I thought that was maybe the biggest letdown and the urgency, because we are better when we play quickly, we play forward, we run forward.

"Because they did their part, the noise was awesome through the game".
