He has since been transported to the Turner Guilford Knight Correctional Center, where he is awaiting arraignment, Rodriguez said.

The report indicated McGregor was leaving the Fontainebleau Miami Beach shortly after 5 a.m. Monday when a 22-year-old man attempted to take a picture of McGregor.

Conor McGregor, an MMA fighter with an arrest history, has been arrested again, this time for allegedly stomping on a male fan's phone in Miami, Florida.

McGregor is alleged to have walked away with the phone in the aftermath of the incident, which is said to have occurred after a fan tried to take a photo with him.

Police said the Irish fighter, 30, was charged with felony strong-armed robbery and misdemeanour criminal mischief.

Governor Newsom Halts Death Penalty in California, Closes San Quentin Execution Chamber
California has not carried out any executions since 2006, as a series of court battles over execution methods have been waged. At age 88, David Carpenter is the oldest current inmate on California's death row, but he didn't arrive until 1984 at age 50.

McGregor is a mixed martial arts star who is best known for losing to boxing icon Floyd Mayweather in a 2017 boxing match. I love my fans dearly.

McGregor last fought in the UFC this past October when he fell to Nurmagomedov by fourth round submission. An attorney for McGregor called the altercation "minor" and said the popular fighter would cooperate with authorities.

McGregor reportedly completed his community service from that incident last week.

McGregor has yet to issue a full statement on his latest brush in with the law.

McGregor is still suspended from UFC due to the post-fight brawl at UFC 229, but he is eligible to return to the octagon starting April 6. Last week, he completed five days of community service in NY following an incident at a UFC media day in April of past year.

Members of Nurmagomedov's team were also involved in a fracas with the beaten McGregor.
