'It's show time': Apple confirms launch event on March 25

The magazine subscription service will be integrated into the existing Apple News app and is based on the company's acquisition of Texture previous year. Apple usually launches products and services in the month period after the event.

Apple has sent out media invites for its "It's Show Time" event that will be held on March 25 at the Steve Jobs Theater in California. This certainly means that the company would be launching its much-rumoured subscription services for video and news. Along with services for TV (which is expected to launch later in this year), Apple is also being speculated to come with its Apple News subscription service.

Rumours about the company's new video-streaming services have been around for quite some time.

If Netflix and Amazon were not enough for you, Apple is set to join the league of video streaming services.

Security concerns have led Australia to completely ban the company's technology and New Zealand has moved to partially restrict it.

Some reports said actresses Jennifer Aniston and Reese Witherspoon and "Star Wars" director J.J. Abrams would join Apple at the event.

Rumors suggest that Apple will pitch its video and magazine services as separate entities with separate prices, but it could offer a bundle that offers, say, both services and an Apple Music sub at a cheaper price.

It's now unclear exactly what will be revealed at the launch with some expecting new AirPods, iPad and AirPower charging pad to be revealed. But an iPad with a 10.5-inch screen would probably have a design similar to the 2017 iPad Pros.

APPLE HAS CONFIRMED that it's holding an event on 25 March where it'll unveil its long-awaited Netflix competitor.
