Democratic House Speaker Nancy Pelosi did not explicitly endorse the Green New Deal, but welcomed "the enthusiasm" of its backers, AP reported.

The climate movement claims that 81 percent of Americans support the Green New Deal, but apparently the GOP's internal polling says something completely different. Co-sponsors in the Senate include 2020 contenders such as California Senator Kamala Harris, New Jersey Senator Corey Booker, New York Senator Kirsten Gillibrand, Vermont Senator Bernie Sanders, and Massachusetts Senator Elizabeth Warren.
