According to Variety, Grande will not be performing at the Grammys.
Ariana Grande and Taylor Swift are reportedly planning to skip the Grammy Awards on Sunday.
Grande, who kept quiet when asked about the issue this week, now claims the award show powers that be are "lying" about the reason she dropped out. In fact, she might not even attend. To top it all off, Grande has chosen not to attend the gala as a front-row guest, notwithstanding her omission as a performer.
The prestigious music event, kicking off this Sunday (February 10), will be minus one pop star due to a reported disagreement between Grande and the ceremony's producer about which song she could perform, Variety has learned.
Meanwhile, Taylor, who is also nominated in the Best Pop Vocal Album category, is also thought to be giving the Grammys a miss. The 25-year-old actually began her time in entertainment as an actress on the Nickelodeon show Victorious, which she soon spun into a music career.
Blazers get Hood; send Stauskas to Cavs
Baldwin, the No. 17 pick by the Memphis Grizzlies in 2016, has mostly played a deep reserve role for Portland. He tied his career-high with 24 points in a season-opening win over LeBron James and the Los Angeles Lakers .
Grande is far from a new face on the scene, but this a year ago has been an especially prominent one for her.
In addition, her personal life has also taken center stage. She was "insulted" when they would only let her sing her latest single, "7 rings", as a part of a medley in which producers chose the other song.
Despite these creative obstacles, Ariana has made a decision to not let her fans bear the brunt of this.
As Billboard pointed out in a separate article, the album's success was "a rare new peak for a late-'10s pop star" and was especially significant "because not many of her pop star peers are doing so alongside her".
