The exact nature of the dispute is still not clear, but Variety reports that Grande wanted to perform her latest single "7 Rings", which the Recording Academy rejected. It causes a stir of confusion especially in social media, until last February 7 when the pop superstar finally sets the record straight on Twitter calling Grammy's executive producer Ken Ehrlich's statement as a lie.

Now Grande has taken to Twitter to refute his suggestion. "I can pull together a performance over night and you know that, Ken", she wrote. "It was when my creativity [and] self-expression was stifled by you, that I decided not to attend".

Coinciding with the drop of the album, the video for "Break Up with Your Girlfriend, I'm Bored" was also released and features "Riverdale" star Charles Melton as one of her love interests. The girlfriend, a ponytail-wearing brunette, bears a striking resemblance to Grande, who is blond when she meets the couple but transforms into her trademark ponytail when she attends a party hosted by her new acquaintances. Even as she pursues a free-spirited fling on Bloodline, she alludes to heartbreak: "I ain't lookin' for my one true love, yeah that ship sailed away".

Singer Ariana Grande has a lot on her plate.

Dem Judiciary Rep. Jayapal: I Got the Sense Whitaker 'Wasn't Truthful'
Jamie Raskin, Democrat from Maryland, reacts as Whitaker tells the chair Nadler his time has expired for questioning. The House Judiciary Committee on Thursday voted to authorize a subpoena for Whitaker ahead of his Friday testimony .

Camila Cabello will open the show with fellow Latino stars Ricky Martin and J Balvin and there will also be performances from Lady Gaga, Katy Perry, Kacey Musgraves, Yolanda Adams, and Little Big Town, among others. "Thank u, next" was going to be yet another wad of chewed up bubblegum inadvertently stuck to the bottom of my shoe: sticky, annoying, and eventually forgotten. On Friday, Grande released her highly-anticipated album with the same name. "I am still grateful for the acknowledgement [sic] this year", Grande tweeted.

Her fans are already screaming for more and Grande herself doesn't seem to not want to slow down either.

ET Canada has reached out to Grande's rep and a Grammys spokesperson for comment.
