McCaw was looking for a bigger offer from the Warriors this summer and did not receive one from the team or elsewhere until Cleveland's offer sheet.

On Sunday, he became a member of the Cleveland Cavaliers, after signing a two-year, $6 million offer sheet that the Warriors chose not to match. McCaw's 2019-20 contract is non-guaranteed for $3 million.

Back in October, Golden State was willing to offer McCaw two years and $5.2 million, but the third-year guard declined that, per The Undefeated's Marc Spears. The Warriors essentially replaced McCaw's minutes in the rotation with Alfonzo McKinnie, who they signed just before the season when they were unable to come to terms with McCaw.

Trump’s surprise troop visit sparks criticism in Iraq
The way in which Trump visited was "not commensurate with diplomatic norms and relations with sovereign states", Abadi said. If needed, the USA can attack ISIS "so fast and so hard" that they "won't know what the hell happened", Trump said.

If the Warriors choose to keep McCaw, it could cost substantially more than just his salary figure because of luxury-tax ramifications. The Cavaliers will get the opportunity to watch McCaw, a 23-year-old forward, for the rest of the season before deciding whether to guarantee the second year of his deal.

It has not yet been determined how long it will be before McCaw can return to game action after sitting out the season's first three months.
