One coach no longer in the mix is New England offensive coordinator Josh McDaniels, who said Tuesday "the book is closed" on him interviewing for head coaching jobs. Williams was the first candidate to interview for the coaching vacancy.

It is unclear when the hiring of Kitchens will be announced by the team.

We're down to three head-coaching vacancies in the NFL.

With Kitchens calling the plays, the Browns also saw a massive spike in their offensive efficiency, as measured by Football Outsiders' DVOA.

In addition to the Browns deciding to promote Kitchens to head coach, the team has chose to move on from Gregg Williams and his defensive staff, per ESPN. Offensive coordinator suitors, however, is more of a crapshoot. It appears he did enough to impress the front-office tandem of John Dorsey and Paul DePodesta and will come away with the job. It also goes on to list McGee's previous arrests and claims that she is conspiring with Joycelyn Savage's father to extort R. She figured an adult would always be present, she said, but Kelly managed to spend alone time with the child.

Meanwhile, others shared that Kitchens and rookie quarterback Baker Mayfield seem to make a great team.

But the franchise appears to be turning a page on their awful past. Kitchens began the year as a running backs coach for the Browns, and has been coaching in the National Football League as an assistant since 2006.

Kitchens and Williams kept their players focused and motivated following the mid-season coaching change and the Browns went 7-8-1 following an 0-16 season in 2017 under Jackson.

In late November, I wrote a tape piece on the differences Kitchens' offensive concepts made to the Browns, and how incredible it was that he was able to install a fully-formed, radically diverse offense in the middle of the season that set every defense it faced on edge.

The Cleveland Browns have apparently found their next head coach.
