Sarri Showers Big Praise on Chelsea Star

It is perhaps because of the example of Sancho and Nelson, as well as his clear talent, that Bayern Munich are now one of the main clubs linked with Hudson-Odoi.

Hudson-Odoi, prolific in the youth set-up and impressive in pre-season, made his first start of the campaign in Thursday's Europa League thrashing of Paok Salonika and scored his first senior goal in the 4-0 win.

And a fourth explained: "Callum Hudson-Odoi is a talent player and he needs a regular football".

"They were down to 10 men after seven minutes, so we needed only to play in the offensive phase".

"Obviously from January I can sign with whoever I want and probably this will attract many clubs but so far, from what I can say right now, I will stay here until the end of the season".

Another added: "Hudson-Odoi is just showing that he at least deserves to be on the bench every weekend".

And the 67-year-old remains convinced of striker Mitrovic's importance to Fulham's set-up, even if he has demanded the Serbian works harder off the ball.

The US against France makes up the fourth quarter-final, with the semi-finals and final to be played tomorrow as well. A top-four finish in the overall standings this season means automatic qualification for the 2020 Olympics.

After the match Sarri was qualified in his praise of Hudson-Odoi, reminding the youngster of where he expects him to improve.

Andreas Christensen's substitution due to injury was a sour note for Chelsea, who were able to rest Giroud and Pedro in the closing stages with Group L's top spot in the bag. He was very important for me, and he's very important for Sarri. "I don't remember very well, but I don't think he can remember this meeting", said Sarri.

Chelsea just put in a poor performance, against a very good Spurs side.

Maurizio Sarri will be looking to snatch all three points against local rivals Fulham as they seek to get back to winning ways after a disappointing loss last weekend.

"It wasn't clearly very easy to find a big motivation".

10 minutes later, Giroud would score again, this time smashing home a fine volley from a Cesc Fabregas pass.

"I thought it was a dream. Incredible pass", Sarri said.
