A man was doing just that at the United States city's popular tourist landmark and dropped the ring he used to propose to his fiancee.

Police were called, but the couple left after the ring could not be found. Police found the ring early the next morning. Police have shared pictures of the footage from security cameras in the hope they will help them make sure the ring gets back to its rightful owners.

"WE HAVE YOUR RING!" the NYPD's Midtown North precinct announced on Twitter Saturday night.
