Kareem Hunt cut by Kansas City Chiefs after alleged assault video on woman emerges

"The NFL's investigation began immediately following the incident in February", the statement said. Nearly immediately, TMZ reported, the Chiefs sent Hunt home early from a practice.

Police were called to the scene during the February 10 incident, no charges were filed.

Hunt, 23, was accused of punching the male guest at the Bay Lodging Resort in Put-in-Bay back in June after he got into a verbal confrontation with him.

"Honestly, it was just a long night and to be exact it don't really matter what happened", Hunt said. It will include a review of the new information that was made public on Friday - which was not available to the National Football League previously - as well as further conversations with all parties involved in the incident.

Hunt admitted that he lied to the Chiefs about his role in the February incident with the woman, which was reported by local media outlets shortly after it occurred. He is now on the NFL Exempt List, which means he is not allowed to play, practice or even attend games, but if his punishment is levied that status will likely be rescinded.

According to the reports, the woman and a friend - who said they were Kent State students - spent the night visiting bars on a party bus with Hunt, Hunt's friend and others before going back to Hunt's apartment. "I'm going to take the time to better myself, learn from this, get some help if needed, talk to people and really just take this really serious". But neither the team nor the league had seen the video before it became public Friday. The footage from a Cleveland hotel security camera showed Hunt shoving and kicking a woman, with police ultimately responding.

As to the why he did what he did, apparently "some things were said". Although they did their homework on linebacker Reuben Foster earlier this week after Foster was released for domestic violence, the fact there is video of evidence of Hunt - fair or not - makes this situation completely different.

NBA Commerce Rumors: Cavs Inquired About Markelle Fultz
Fultz has been the subject of trade rumors and it was reported Saturday that he was no longer in Philadelphia's long-term plans. And if a team comes to the Sixers with a deal that's even remotely tempting, then they probably wouldn't hesitate to take it.

He said several times he was "embarrassed" by the video and insisted, "I know right from wrong".

"I've worked for this my whole entire life", he told Salters.

She said she wanted Hunt prosecuted for the alleged assault and/or for stealing her phone's SIM card.

"I would definitely try to help him figure out, 'How can we start dealing with the underlying problems in your life?'" Rice said.

Rice was originally suspended for two games by NFL Commissioner Roger Goodell, who later was heavily criticized for such a light penalty after the video was released.

Hunt said Sunday he didn't tell the Chiefs everything about the incident and that there weren't any hard feelings between him and the organization. If no team claims him, he will enter free agency. "I made a bad decision at that time and I just hope that people forgive me". I made a poor decision.
