Israel Police Recommend Indicting Benjamin Netanyahu In Corruption Probe

Binyamin Netanyahu and his wife, Sara, should be charged with bribery in a corruption case linked to Israel's telecom giant Bezeq, police have said.

He argued in a statement that "these recommendations were determined and leaked even before the investigations began". "I am certain that after considering the matters the same conclusion will be reached in this case as well".

Netanyahu is accused of pushing regulatory benefits worth hundreds of millions of dollars to Bezeq in exchange for positive coverage from subsidiary news site Walla.

The prime minister has denied any wrongdoing, dismissing the accusations as a witch hunt orchestrated by the media.

Netanyahu has been prime minister for a total of more than 12 years, from 1996 to 1999 and again since 2009.

Leonard, and Danny Green shared lots of insights with the Raps from their experiences in San Antonio taking on the Warriors . Durant had 51 points, his third straight game with at least 40 points, while Klay Thompson added 23 points.

It's up to the attorney general whether to indict.

Other opposition parties quickly joined in the call for Mr Netanyahu to resign. Hefetz was the third confidant of the prime minister to become a witness in various cases, joining former communications ministry director general Shlomo Filber and former chief of staff Ari Harow.

The Bezeq case, known as Case 4000, is the most serious of all those of which Netanyahu has been accused.

A year after that tense meeting, in December 2017, as part of his testimony in a separate graft case over allegations Elovitch had defrauded investors, Yeshua would hand his phone over to police, knowing full well what it contained and, say investigators, with great relief at being rid of it. In exchange, they believe Netanyahu used his connections with Elovitch to receive positive press coverage on Bezeq's popular news site Walla. Netanyahu, who just two weeks ago brought his coalition from the brink of collapse after a junior partner bolted, denied any wrongdoing. The people of Israel deserve a clean leadership.

Meanwhile, head of the Labor Party Avi Gabbay, who also leads the center-left political alliance of Zionist Union, echoed Livni's call. The first case, referred to as Case 1000, involves gifts of cigars and jewellery bestowed by billionaire benefactors such as Israeli-born Hollywood producer Arnon Milchan, whose film credits include Fight Club and Pretty Woman, and Australian businessman James Packer. Information leaked to the Israeli media suggested the agreement would have allowed the Prime Minister to receive more favourable coverage from the newspaper if he agreed to weaken the status of rival daily newspaper Israel Hayom, owned by USA casino magnate Sheldon Adelson. Indictments were recommended, however, against some of the Prime Minister's close associates, including his cousin and lawyer David Shimron. An initial hearing has already been held in this case.
