‘Late Late Show’ Host James Corden Teams With Barbra Streisand For Some Classic Carpool Karaoke

Maybe that's why the latest installment of James Corden's reliably viral Carpool Karaoke franchise features Streisand driving, rather than riding shotgun like a normal famous person.

After picking Corden up from the side of the road after his vehicle has been booted for unpaid tickets, Streisand admits that she's had to retake her driving test a few times recently because she was unable to pass her renewal test. Whoops!

Streisand gives Corden a lift when his own auto gets clamped, and the two belt out her hits like 1979's "No More Tears" and 1973's "The Way We Were" during the drive. It seems her driving skills haven't improved that much since either as Streisand admitted she even found herself driving on the wrong side of the highway recently.

"I get scared. I just don't want to disappoint people", she explained.

Hey, DMV! Don't rain on Barbra Streisand's parade with your "driving tests".

Streisand was nominated for a Tony in 1962 for I Can Get It For Your Wholesale and then again in 1964 for Funny Girl. You'd think after 50 years, people would pronounce it correctly! She expressed ire over it during her 2016 tour, telling the crowd of thousands: "It's Streisand, soft, like "sand". Is that possible?'" she said.

"What's a better way to change my name than speaking to Apple, Tim Cook and saying, 'It would be so helpful if Siri said my name right".

Streisand also humble-bragged about her powerful tech friends. And so what did I do? "All I can do is write about it", she says.
