The six-core Core i5-9600K and 8-core Core i7-9700K will also be launching the same day. All the new chipsets are still based upon the company's existing 14nm++ process of manufacturing.

Amazon just started listing the 8-core Core i9 9900K. All three of these processors will apparently work on all Z300-series motherboards, so those who bought into Z370 previous year will be able to drop a new CPU in after a BIOS update. Comparatively, the Intel Core i7-8700K starts at a tick higher 3.7GHz base frequency but can't go almost as fast with its maximum 4.9GHz boost clock.

The i7-9700K will feature eight cores without hyperthreading, giving it 3.6 GHz at base and a turbo boost of 4.9 GHz on a single core.

The Z390 platform will continue to feature the same "up to 40" PCI Express lanes that we've seen for several generations, with 16 lanes being directly connected to the CPU, and the rest coming from the chipset which is still connected via a DMI 3.0 link. Intel cranked the hype dial to 11, stating that it's "breaking the laws of physics to bring you these parts" and trumpeting the Core i9-9900K as "the best gaming processor in the world, period". Similarly, video editing with Adobe Premiere is up to 34 percent and 97 percent faster respectively, as per Intel's own testing. The Core i5-9600K sports six cores paired with six threads and has a base clock speed of 3.7GHz, which can be boosted up to 4.6GHz. At its launch event, Intel demonstrated the Core i9 chip running two games simultaneously while live-streaming them, too. The 1-core CPU boost is 4.6GHz, 2-core at 4.5GHz, 4-core at 4.4GHz and 6-core at 4.3GHz. The product will begin shipping in December, but as yet there is no word on pricing.

Amid trade spat, U.S.-China military tensions soar
These types of missions demonstrate that the United States does not recognize China's territorial claims to the South China Sea. This was stated by the spokesperson for the Chinese Defence Ministry Senior Colonel Ren Guoqiang at a regular news briefing.

It's important to note that the Intel's latest hardware includes fixes for the controversial and critical Meltdown Variant 3 and L1 Terminal Fault issues.

Even the 9th generation designation is a sign of Intel's excitement (or marketing savvy, you decide). We also know that Gigabyte and ASUS will be building motherboards to support this new chip.

Whether or not Intel's 9th-gen speedup matters to you depends on how recently you've upgraded your current PC.
