EPL: Wenger speaks on Arsenal giving Ramsey 'huge contract' in January

Arsenal coach Unai Emery has called on his players to improve if they are to keep up with the Premier League's top teams and urged supporters to stay calm despite the team's nine-match winning streak.

But other than a 5-1 thrashing of Fulham in their last outing before the worldwide break, Arsenal have often got more than they deserved from their performances over the past two months.

But Emery refused to respond when asked about Ramsey's future, saying only his demands on the player remain the same when Arsenal return to Premier League action against Leicester City, live on Monday Night Football.

Away fans were heard singing "we have our Arsenal back" at Fulham's Craven Cottage, but Emery said he "does not agree totally with every supporter".

"Everything has been going great with the club", said Ramsey last week "We thought we were in a position where we had agreed a deal but that's no longer the case".

One midfielder that looks to be on his way out of the club is Aaron Ramsey, with discussions to extend his current contract now at a standstill.

"If we are remembering the last match at the Emirates (against Watford), we won but not playing like we want, with the control against the opposition".

Call of Duty: Black Ops 4 Now Available
Activision and Treyarch have shared the second trailer for the " Blood of the Dead " campaign in Call of Duty: Black Ops IIII. Do not forget that in Black Ops 4 for the first time in the series will appear the game mode of the Royal battle.

'We need to stay with the best teams in the Premier League.

"I'm thinking about Monday's match first".

'Every player, they need to feel they can play every match.

"The first two matches we lost against Manchester City and Chelsea".

"Maybe for Monday it's hard [for him to play]. Individual things are not for now".

Emery has chosen to use Xhaka as part of a two-man midfield, with the likes of Mesut Ozil, Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang and Alexandre Lacazette all ahead of him.

Having watched him during his three years in charge at Sevilla, Emery will be fully aware of the defensive midfielder's outstanding tackling and interception abilities.
