What did Jerry Jones say about Nike’s new ad campaign with Colin Kaepernick? | Fort Worth Star-Telegram

Nike revealed on Monday that Kaepernick would be at the centre of a new campaign to mark the 30th anniversary of the company's Just Do It slogan.

On Wednesday morning, the athlete released a new commercial with the famous brand that urges consumers to dream big no matter what the naysayers say.

Kaepernick is shown a couple times in the video, including the closing line where he says, "So don't ask if your dreams are insane, ask if they're insane enough". "Stay that way!" he shared in the two-minute video. "Stay that way, because what nonbelievers fail to understand is that calling a dream insane is not an insult, it's a compliment".

Through the video, several deserving individuals are given the spotlight and prove that rough beginnings can lead to greatness.

Stephen Martin, the owner of Prime Time Sports, said he knows he is jeopardizing his business, as a large part of his inventory is Nike NFL jerseys, according to KRDO.

Closing his remarks, he said he stood "for anybody who believes in change". "I stand with Nike, every day, all day".

The problem with most of the commentary I've heard and read is that it's delivered by middle-aged or older men, a lot of them white, who aren't even close to Nike's target audience.

Last November Kaepernick filed a grievance against the NFL in which he alleged that the league and franchise owners colluded to keep him from signing with another team. An NFL request to dismiss the case was denied last month.

Djokovic wins US Open for third time
He first won the Wimbledon to announce his return back to top form and has now won the US Open 2018 title comprehensively. Djokovic has been successful in five of the last six Grand Slam finals he's played dating back to Wimbledon in 2015.

"Nike is getting absolutely killed with anger and boycotts", Mr Trump tweeted after the sportswear giant chose to feature Kaepernick in a new campaign.

Channel 3 went out to see how Chattanooga residents feel about the ad and came across Travis White, a veteran who said he supports the move by Kaepernick and Nike.

Williams was also questioned about the role of athletes in social activism and responded: "I don't think athletes have a role to play".

"I don't mind them protesting brutality", he said.

Nike also provides all National Football League teams with game day uniforms and sideline apparel, a partnership that was extended in March to run through 2028.

"My choice is to choose to just be the best, try to be, I'm not always flawless. By pursuing this approach, Nike is back in the public conversation - and, yes, they'll create some enemies (that's for sure) but they'll also reactivate their core base - and create true believers".

The College of the Ozarks, a private Christian school in Point Lookout, Missouri, that competes in sports at the NAIA level, said it will remove all uniforms purchased from Nike that contain the brand's logo.
