Here’s why the world’s richest man Jeff Bezos wore pajamas to a board meeting

Amazon CEO Jeff Bezos is the richest man in the world by an astronomical margin.

"We'll use the same set of principals that have driven Amazon", wrote Bezos of the preschool management.

Some analysts have suggested Amazon could face antitrust scrutiny over its growing power in the economy, and President Donald Trump has accused the company of taking advantage of the Postal Service, despite studies suggesting the internet giant's deal has been beneficial to the USA government postal operator. But it's really unsafe to demonize the media. "It's unsafe to say they're the enemy of the people".

Bezos said early childhood education is a critical area and that "the money spent there is going to pay huge dividends for decades". The American president is not known for restraint in using the microblogging platform to broadcast every thought and idea that crosses his mind. We're going to be obsessively, compulsively focused on the child. I used to deal with the Tamil Tiger press office, and they kidnapped me. "I'll keep my conversations with the president to myself", Bezos said. Bezos said it is important for politicians not to vilify big businesses since they can create so much value.

Interviewed by the club's president, Carlyle Group co-founder David Rubenstein, Bezos also discussed his new charitable commitments, defended the media and his purchase of the Washington Post, and disappointed the D.C. -connected audience by declining to reveal a winning city for Amazon's second headquarters.

Darnold sharp, but Jets’ rout of Lions a total team effort
That might be a leg-up for Patricia on Monday, considering the Jets and Pats are division rivals. This was a night for optimism for a franchise that far too often has had far too little of it.

"It is a mistake for any elected official in my opinion ... to attack media and journalists".

When discussing his charity work with the homeless and schools for children, Bezos said, "All of his best decisions have been made with heart and by trusting gut and instinct as opposed to just analysis".

Bezos and his wife, MacKenzie, pledged $US2 billion on Thursday for a new fund to start preschools and help homeless families. The Day 1 Academies Fund, meanwhile, "will launch and operate a network of high-quality, full-scholarship, Montessori-inspired preschools in underserved communities. I know what Amazon could do when we were 10 people and I know what we could do when we were 1,000 and I know what we could do when we were 10,000, and I know what we could do the day when we are a half a million", he added.

"Why am I wearing pajamas to an Amazon board meeting?"

The Bezos Day One Fund will focus on two initiatives, the billionaire announced in an online post Thursday.
