Facebook Mollie Tibbetts family has launched an extensive search for the missing Iowa college student

Tibbetts was reported missing after she failed to show up for work in Brooklyn, Iowa, a farming community of about 1,500 people where she was living over the summer with her longtime boyfriend.

Kevin Winker of the Iowa Division of Criminal Investigation speaks about the disappearance of 20-year-old Iowa college student Mollie Tibbetts during a news conference Tuesday, July 31, 2018, in Montezuma, Iowa.

Donations have poured in over the past few days and the family is now offering a $172,000 reward for information that will lead authorities to her.

Investigators searching for missing University of Iowa student Mollie Tibbetts have gotten hundreds of tips and are looking for her in ponds, fields and from the air, officials said Friday morning at a news conference.

Her parents reported her absence to police on July 19, and since then, authorities have embarked on a thorough search of the town of Brooklyn, Iowa, and its surrounds. Calderwood believes it's possible that someone took her daughter. Sometimes I just feel her sitting on my shoulder.

Police say Tibbetts was last seen wearing dark colored running shorts and running shoes. She said that it's the family's greatest hope that whoever may have Tibbetts lets her go and claims the "money we have raised for her freedom".

House Republicans move to impeach deputy AG Rosenstein
Rosenstein, along with FBI Director Christopher Wray, faced dozens of angry Republicans at a House hearing last month. In Wednesday's press statement announcing the articles of impeachment, Jordan once again criticized Rosenstein.

"At this point, we don't know her exact whereabouts but we continue to look. And Mollie was an incredibly strong young woman and I don't know that I have the strength in me and Mollie is lending me her strength every day and every night", she said.

Anyone with information in the 20-year-old's disappearance is urged to call Crime Stoppers of Central Iowa at 800-452-1111 or 515-223-1400.

That effort included sifting through data from her cellphone, social media accounts and a Fitbit, a physical activity tracker.

Family members have told local news outlets that it would be out of character for Mollie to disappear on her own.

"I can't tell you how much we appreciate you", he said.
