James has said that Trump "doesn't understand the power that he has for being the leader of this handsome country".

President Donald Trump is turning his wrath on basketball superstar LeBron James.

James, who campaigned for Trump's opponent, Democrat Hillary Clinton, and has not been shy about using his celebrity for social causes, did the interview from the public school he opened for at-risk kids in Akron, called the "I Promise" school.

James appeared on CNN Monday in an interview with Don Lemon which was re-aired Friday night.

Early this year, a federal court approved a $25 million settlement for former students of Trump University, who claimed the school was a bait-and-switch operation that did not offer the real estate industry insights it promised. "I like Mike!", Donald's highly opinionated tweet read.

CNN responded to Trump on Twitter.

Republicans won't budge on Kavanaugh documents amid Dem accusations of hiding records
Republicans have been hesitant to request those records, however, and have accused Democrats of engaging in stalling tactics. Bush's presidential library and other things get up here soon", the sooner the hearing can start, he said.

Trump has been strongly critical of the NFL for failing to punish players who kneel during the national anthem as a form of protest.

Most of the interview focused on other matters, particularly James's efforts in OH to create an elementary school with an eye toward helping kids get their lives on track. White House press secretary Sarah Huckabee Sanders did not return a request for comment, nor did James's agency Klutch Sports Group. Trump puts children in cages, ' his colleague Joseph Flynn wrote.

"Sports has never been something that divides people", Mr. James said.

NEW: Jordan sides with James over Trump tweet. "I know the streets that they walk". "I believe there's someone else out there".

The tweet from CNN also included a reference to Melania's "Be Best" campaign, which was meant to curb cyberbullying.

CNN also interjected: "Sounds like @FLOTUS had the remote last night. We hope you both saw the incredible work of @KingJames", the network said. Minnesota center Karl Anthony Towns questioned why Trump was using his time to tweet about this instead of addressing the water issues in Flint, MI.
