Redding Police Chief Roger Moore, who lost his own home in the fire, said social workers and clergy would be on hand to lend support to distressed residents. "You can expect, unfortunately, for that to intensify". Jerry Brown said at a news conference Wednesday.

The latest fire to erupt Wednesday in the wildfire-stricken county burned 45 acres off of Highway 101 south of Hopland, officials said. It is only 35 percent contained.

Officials are lifting more evacuations across Shasta County as firefighters gain containment on a wildfire burning in the region.

"We had a lot of equipment on it last night", Gonzalez said.

His main message focused on the devastation from wildfires seen across California that will only get "worse in the coming years".

It used to be that we'd talk about the impact of fire seasons, but today, it's more like fire years.

"We're in for a really rough ride, and it's going to get expensive, it's going to get risky", Brown said.

She has said: "I felt out of control with the coke the first time that I did it", adding, however, that she grew to "love it". That is when her management team informed her that if she did not get sober they would no longer keep her as a client.

In the meantime, emergency officials say all Californians need to be prepared for the possibility of a fire sparking in their neighborhood.

Our crews spent the next 24 hours providing structure defense as the fire devastated the Redding area.

The flames were sparked July 23 by the mechanical failure of a vehicle, Cal Fire said. It has destroyed almost 1,000 homes and killed six people and is now considered the seventh most destructive wildfire in the state's history. The Ferguson Fire, which has burned 63,798 acres, is 39 percent contained.

The fire near Covelo prompted evacuation orders for about 60 homes in the farming and ranching area on the edge of the Mendocino National Forest.

After days of concern over a number of missing individuals, authorities said Wednesday that all those who had been reported missing have now been accounted for.

Thousands of people were allowed to return to their homes this week but the blaze continues to burn and has scorched 180 square miles (470 square kilometers).
