"Collusion is not a crime, but that doesn't matter because there was No Collusion (except by Crooked Hillary and the Democrats)!"

"They haven't gotten back to us in 10 days over our recommendation of how to do an interview", Giuliani, who serves on the President's legal team, told CNN "New Day" co-anchor Alisyn Camerota.

He made the claim on the day his former campaign chair Paul Manafort's trial begins on alleged tax fraud and banking charges, after a long investigation into his connections to Russian oligarchs.

Legal experts, however, have repeatedly said that anyone found collaborating with Russian Federation on the 2016 election could be charged with other crimes, such as conspiracy, and special counsel Robert Mueller's investigation has not concluded.

While prosecutors have said they will not present evidence in this trial about possible collusion between Russia and the Trump campaign, they may dig deeper into Manafort's connections with Russian and Ukrainian oligarchs, legal experts have said.

Legal experts said that working with a foreign national with the intent of influencing a USA election could violate multiple laws.

"When you diss our allies in the way he did, treat them the way he did, and then you cozy up to someone like Vladimir Putin who is not our friend", Whitman said on MSNBC.

In the CNN interview, Giuliani sharply attacked Michael Cohen, Trump's former personal lawyer, for taping conversations with clients, including one in which the future president discussed a hush money payment to former Playboy magazine model Karen McDougal shortly before the 2016 election to buy her silence about the alleged affair she says she had with Trump more than a decade ago.

"Enough is enough, ' Giuliani vented". The president has also used his Twitter to allege partisan bias among Mueller's investigative team, which he has dubbed the "13 angry Democrats". He nearly still does.

Durbin added that the country has to wait for Mueller's investigation to be completed to know for sure.

Asked whether the conflict was over the golf club dispute, Giuliani replied, "I'm not going to go any further".

He further revealed that he had a "conflict of interest" with Mueller, adding that the two had a "nasty business relationship" and that he had turned him down as the Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI) Director.

Giuliani also said it "sounds suspicious" that only one of 183 Cohen recordings obtained from Federal Bureau of Investigation raids on his home and office has Trump on it. Trump has also asserted he didn't know about the meeting.

'We have 183 unique tape recordings.
