LeBron James has agreed to a four-year deal worth $154 million to sign with the Los Angeles Lakers, his agency Klutch Sports Group announced with a press release on Sunday night.

Cleveland Cavaliers' LeBron James, left, passes against Oklahoma City Thunder' Andre Roberson.

Day 1 of National Basketball Association free agency was not lacking for fireworks or firepower, led by James' decision to leave Cleveland for a second time and join the Los Angeles Lakers.

Three legit superstars of the league have made a decision to stay with their existing teams and the fact that OKC's Paul George was among them was hugely significant for the long-term prospects of Adams' Thunder.

Keep in mind this is simply just an opinion on Bonsignore's end, but it is a valid point since James being in Los Angeles at the moment is quite the coincidence. But if the four-time MVP ultimately chooses to abandon his team, antacid purveyor TUMS is here to help.

Paul, who represents several other players entering into free agency - Kentavious Caldwell-Pope and Nerlens Noel among them - will conduct all his business over the phone when free agency begins, sources told ESPN.

Apple, Samsung settle US patent dispute
Judge Lucy Koh, of the Northern District Court of California, has published a filing announcing the settlement. Samsung paid $548 million of the $1.05 billion owed to Apple in 2015, but appealed all the way to the U.S.

James will now compete directly with Kevin Durant, Stephen Curry and the Warriors not only in the Western Conference, but in the Pacific Division. James has a handful of people close to him that he really trusts and outside of them, everyone is being kept in the dark, mostly.

The Sixers can offer James a chance to play alongside budding, young stars Ben Simmons and Joel Embiid as well as stay in the Eastern Conference, where the path to the NBA Finals is far easier than out West.

Since Kobe Bryant retired in 2016, the Lakers have sought to add a franchise-changer to lift them from a long, dry spell unheard of in their storied past.

If he had the "Big 3" when he moved to Miami in 2010 and a pair of All-Stars when he returned to Cleveland in 2014, James isn't joining a loaded squad in LA - at least not yet. It was not immediately clear if the contract included any option years.

James averaged 27.5 points, 8.6 rebounds, 9.1 assists and 1.4 steals and shot 54.2 percent from the field this past season.
