"We are meeting here today to make sure the nuclear agreement with Iran has a future", German Foreign Minister Heiko Maas said as he arrived for talks with counterparts from Iran and the other signatories Britain, China, France and Russian Federation.

Iran wants world powers to present measures guaranteeing oil revenue and investment into the country despite USA sanctions when ministers meet on Friday to save the 2015 nuclear deal, but European states will fall short of its demands, diplomats said.

During a telephone call with the French President, Emmanuel Macron, Mr Rohani stated that "Europe's proposed package to Iran for continued cooperation as part of the Joint Comprehensive Plan of Action (JCPOA - the official abbreviation of the agreement, editor's note) does not meet all of the demands of the Islamic Republic".

What Iran expects from other signatories to the accord is to consider Iranians' nuclear, political and economic rights addressed in the deal, Zarif told reporters ahead of the meeting.

Trump also said he would reinstate U.S. nuclear sanctions on Iran and impose "the highest level" of economic bans on the Islamic Republic.

Six people were arrested - a diplomat attached to the Iranian embassy in Austria - in Belgium, France and Germany, while the opposition group blamed the Iranian regime for the alleged plot.
