The Apple Worldwide Developer's Conference (WWDC) kicks off on Monday, June 4 at the McEnery Convention Center in San Jose, California.

Apple is expected to launch an exciting new iPhone feature to address a problem it helped create: phone addiction.

Bloomberg now reports that WWDC 2018, happening on June 4, will showcase a new service called "Digital Health" on iOS 12, a smattering of metrics listed in the device's settings that tell the user how often they've been using certain apps or have had the screen on.

Analysts believe Apple will try to inject more artificial intelligence and other new powers into Siri to make it more competitive with Google's digital assistant and Amazon's Alexa. The operating systems themselves won't be available to the general public until the Fall, but Apple does have an earlier public beta program for eager iPhone, iPad and Mac users.

Apart from the possibility of additional cross-platform applications, which would definitely give it a boost, MacOS 10.14 could also see a much needed redesigned App Store.

So far, the apps using augmented reality haven't really wowed.

In 2017, the most interesting reveal on WWDC was the Apple Homepod. In the AR field, Apple is said to introduce a new mode which will let users play AR games against each other.

Apple was not previously expected to release any new phones or computers at the event, but the rumor mill has suddenly gone into overdrive with speculation Sunday that Apple may launch a new version of its iPhone SE, its cheapest base-model iPhone.

It also said around 100 rockets and mortars fired from Gaza either exploded in Israel or were intercepted by air defences. Hamas' decision to stop the attacks suggests it means to avoid another war, one that might well end its control of Gaza .

Apple has said before that Dolby Atmos for Apple TV is coming, so rumours suggest it will be announced at this upcoming event.

iOS is Apple's most used, and most lucrative, operating system, so it tends to get the biggest chunk of time during these press events.

It's been widely tipped for months, but famed Apple tipster John Gruber has suggested these new features won't arrived until 2019.

A new iPad Pro may also be on its way, too.

Remember the Apple watch, once touted to be the next big thing in the world of consumer technology?

Though rumblings about a new MacBook Air revamp have toned down, Apple is still expected to make a hardware debut or two during its WWDC event which saw the launch of the HomePod speaker a year ago.

It has been about a year since Apple refreshed the MacBook Pro, which means that it is about time that Apple refreshes the lineup.
