Lakers Rumors: LA's Pitch to Sign Paul George Has Been Revealed

A Los Angeles Lakers recruiting pitch for Paul George was reportedly leaked on Monday ahead of a three-part mini-series documenting his offseason and looming free agency. He could also sign a two-year deal with OKC that includes a player option in Year 2, allowing him to kick the free-agency can down the road one year before doing it all over again in 2019, should he choose. He really likes Sam Presti the GM, Billy Donovan the coach. And it seemed set in stone for a while that he would join the Lakers soon after, not only because he is a Southern California native, but also due to their ambitions of creating the next super team with plans of adding LeBron James and Kawhi Leonard as well.

The final part, which has no announced air date as of now, will recap George's final decision when it eventually happens.

"It's a lot of things that go into it - trying to find the right fit, what's the best place for me to raise my kids", George said. "A lot is playing into this, so it's a bit overwhelming".

FIFA WC: Senegal Beat Poland 2-1
Their previous showing was in 2002 when they beat defending champions France on the way to reaching the quarter-finals. Poland take on Senegal in a Group H clash to get their respective World Cup campaigns kicked off.

The first part of the series will follow George's rise to National Basketball Association stardom. Acquired by the team in a trade with the Indiana Pacers, George averaged 21.9 points, 5.7 rebounds and 3.3 assists in 79 games this season for the Thunder.

George was set to make $20.7 million next season had he opted in, and could make more on a new deal this summer.

The Thunder traded for Anthony and George to join Russell Westbrook before last season, moves that gave them high hopes of challenging Golden State in the West. In Game 6 of the first-round playoff series against Utah that ended Oklahoma City's season, he played fewer minutes than backup Jerami Grant. "They checked the boxes on what needs to be checked".
