UFC 224 Results: Lyoto Machida Lands Front Kick KO and Sends Off Vitor Belfort

The knockout came from out of nowhere too, following a snoozefest first round, Machida's eye-watering kick to the jaw had the stadium in awe.

Lyoto Machida was responsible for one of the greatest knockouts in recent memory last night when he put away Victor Belfort in devastating fashion. Not long after the start of the round, he found himself within the ideal range to take down Belfort with a head kick, dropping him with that one move and ending the fight.

Machida, 39, did not follow up with punches after the kick, as Belfort was clearly out.

Neymar hints at Paris Saint-Germain stay after social media picture post
In response to a follow-up question over whether Neymar would fit in at Real, Zidane replied: "Good player are always compatible". I have always told those closest to me that after Lionel [Messi], Andres was the best player in the world.

The 41-year-old Brazilian legend then took off his gloves and placed them in the Octagon, signaling that he was retiring. He called out former UFC middleweight champion Michael Bisping in his Octagon interview. "I know it was a lot like the kick I got in Randy Couture when he retired, with the difference that his was right and that was left, so maybe it is the history repeating itself".

Bisping has also said he doesn't ever plan on making the 185-pound weight limit ever again, as the weight cut is strenuous. "I think it's time for me to take care of my family and my endeavors". "So, I would like this fight because Michael Bisping is a former champion, and this is a fight that could happen in the future. I want to do this fight", Machida said in his post-fight interview on pay-per-view at Jeunesse Arena in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil. "He might retire sometime soon, I could retire sometime soon, and people asked for that fight, so it's a fight that interests me".

Belfort fought the likes of Couture, Silva, Wanderlei Silva, Chuck Liddell, Tito Ortiz and Jon Jones during his career. "I want to fight a few more times this year".
