Russian Federation will, according to the report, push for all foreign troops to clear out of Syria, including Turkey and various US-supported groups. According to US military and Iraqi officials, the Syrian government helped fuel the insurgency by aiding the passage of hundreds of foreign fighters across the Syrian border. Iraq is no exception, and Syria is no exception.

The northern city of Manbij is held by the People's Protection Units (YPG) pro-Kurdish militia, a group which Ankara says is the "terrorist" offshoot of Kurdish hardliners in Turkey, and which is part of the SDF.

Mr Trump had insulted his counterpart in an 8 April tweet following a suspected chemical weapons attack in Douma.

"We need the Russian support, but we need at the same time to avoid the American foolishness in order to be able to stabilise our country".

He also said that there were no Iranian troops in Syria despite reports that a number of non-Syrian fighters have been killed over the years.

President Bashar al-Assad raised the possibility of conflict with US forces in Syria if they do not withdraw from the country soon.

Draymond Green had 13 rebounds and 10 points. "We've got three of the best shot-makers in the league. we stayed with it". Curry scored 14 of Golden State's 33 points in the third quarter as Houston's shooting didn't just go cold, it froze.

Assad has recovered swathes of Syrian territory with military backing from Russian Federation and Iran and is now militarily unassailable in the conflict that began in 2011.

Such claims are "a lie", said Assad. In the process, the Kurds have assumed de facto control over a vast area of mostly desert terrain amounting to almost a third of Syrian territory. Assad threatened to attack the region held by US -backed Kurdish fighters in northeastern Syria if talks fail to bring the area back under Damascus' authority.

It remains unclear, however, under what circumstances the troops will eventually leave and what will happen to their Kurdish allies, who say they are determined to maintain control over the area.

Syrian President Bashar al-Assad has responded to President Donald Trump's branding him an "animal" over the Syrian leader's alleged involvement in a toxic gas attack last month, but said he would not retaliate with insults. These include the SDF-held parts of the north and east, and chunks of territory held by rebel forces in the northwest and southwest.

Israel has agreed to accept the return of Syrian regime forces to southern Syria, in exchange for the assurance by Russian Federation that Iran will distance itself from the country.

Netanyahu also announced that he will meet the leaders of France, Germany and possibly Britain next week to discuss ways to stop what he called Iran's nuclear ambitions and regional expansionism. Assad, apparently referring to the May 10 attack, by Israel said "we had tens of Syrian martyrs and wounded soldiers, not a single Iranian" casualty. "We don't have any other options, with the Americans or without the Americans", he said in a text of the interview published by Syria's state news agency.
