The service that brings all of this together is Azure IoT Edge, which is getting quite a few updates today. The Microsoft Launcher app will also support Timeline for cross-device app launching.

Additionally, Microsoft is also partnering with Qualcomm in a joint effort to create a vision AI dev kit running Azure Internet of Things (IoT Edge). The SDK will also allow the Windows developer community to integrate and control third-party payloads like multispectral sensors, robotic components like custom actuators, and more, exponentially increasing the ways drones can be used in the enterprise. The system is powered by Microsoft's next-gen depth camera and its "industry-defining" Time of Flight sensor in a small, power-efficient form factor. The offering is aimed at bringing AI to solutions for the edge and will be available next year.

Microsoft has also updated its Bot Framework, which when combined with its new Cognitive Services updates, will enhance the next generation of conversational bots.

This year's Build 2018 introduces lots of new Azure and AI products that are aimed at edge devices and developers that build for edge computing. Microsoft claims Project Brainwave makes Azure the fastest cloud to run real-time AI today.

Monday at Microsoft Build 2018, Microsoft Corp.'s annual developer conference, Microsoft leaders showcased new technologies to help every developer be an AI developer, on Microsoft Azure, Microsoft 365 and across any platform.

Deeper SharePoint integration into Microsoft Teams enables people to pin a SharePoint page directly into channels to enable deeper collaboration. Edge activities are already logged on Windows 10 PCs from the Edge app on your phone, but coming soon is the ability to see that same timeline directly on your phone for resuming web browsing activities and more.

Microsoft is enabling any developer to reach and engage new audiences with Sets, an easier way to organize your information and get back to what you were doing.
