Kathy Griffin takes back her Trump apology: 'I'm not holding back'

After a brief introduction from co-host Whoopi Goldberg, Griffin wasted no time getting to the heart of that matter, reports the Daily Mail. "Of course with my connection with the military I thought of literally Daniel Pearl's mother and so I thought, ok, obviously not very many people literally witnessed that horrendous event, but when I thought of her I thought, ok, apologize".

". then the reporters - like Jon Karl, somebody I respect - then they start giving Michelle Wolf the stink eye", Griffin said. "Calm down, girl, you weren't there!"

Griffin said the harsh social media reaction made her back down at the time, and she agreed that the image was "too disturbing". In the process, she has reversed her apologetic tone, going after the Trump administration and many other larger entities in her biting humor.

While never one to be coy to express how she feels, Kathy Griffin spouted off a string of expletives during her visit to the ABC morning show The View Monday where she announced that she was withdrawing her apology she gave past year in regard to the photo shoot where the comedian was seen holding up a severed head resembling President Donald Trump. This president is different.

"Can you believe it?" she asked Meyers.

So why take back the apology?

On Wednesday, Giuliani spoke to The Washington Post about the news that Mueller wants to ask Trump dozens of questions. But on Wednesday, Trump did just what the Times said he would.

Griffin apologized for her actions after receiving a lot of mean comments, though people did not necessarily take her apology ample for her deed.

After being criticized by everyone from Trump himself to former first daughter Chelsea Clinton, Griffin issued a tearful apology on video and even held a press conference to do damage control after she was sacked from her New Year's Eve gig on CNN (even her former NYE co-host, Anderson Cooper, said he was "appalled" by the "completely inappropriate" photo).

On Monday, Griffin unleashed an expletive-laden rant against President Trump, and withdrew a previous apology for arranging a photo shoot in which she held a bloody replica of Trump's head.

"At that time he had only done it to political figures".

"I like to say, I wasn't Dixie Chick'd, I was Dixie d-ed", she said. "So I'm now in their group of people to go for". I've performed in prisons and I'm telling you they would not go for Sean. "He's such a misogynist and his polices are so disgusting". "I honestly didn't know they had this apparatus already in place".

Naff wrote that Gidley gave as good as he got, however, detaching from the conversation by saying he planned to enjoy his Mexican beer - a Tecate - 'before we build the wall and you can't get these anymore'.
