Israel warns Iran and Syria of retaliation after rocket attacks

The moves from #Iran into #Syria include training and building large militias, sending advisors from its security forces, the Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC), to Syrian military bases, and also by operating drones that Israel has indicated were armed. The IDF released a map showing a list of targets it said it hit. Israel accuses Tehran of seeking to establish a foothold on its doorstep.

The attacks followed a wave of overnight missile strikes directed at Israeli territory - all of them apparently intercepted - that Israel blamed on Iran. It said half of the missiles were shot down. One possible solution to this dilemma is trying to fire a limited barrage at military targets in northern Israel.

Liberman said his country struck most of Iran's military facilities in Syria. Lieberman spoke at a conference in Herzliya, near Tel Aviv, and issued a stern warning to Iran: "If there is rain on our side, there will be a flood on their side".

"We know that we face an extremely complicated situation here", said Merkel. The bombing has drawn global calls for restraint on both sides.

Israel said it was in retaliation for Iranian rocket fire from the Quneitra area that it launched missile strikes on Iranian military infrastructure in Syria. "Iran is not doing that right now", she said. Israel says its occasional strikes in Syria aim to foil that.

The Israeli government rarely confirms individual strikes, and the Syrian government and Hezbollah do not always acknowledge when they have been hit.

"Our air defense network is spread out across the country in recent weeks, including on the Golan Heights", he said.

Syrian state television broadcast footage of its air defences firing, and playing patriotic songs. But Israel and Russian Federation have maintained close communications to prevent their air forces from coming into conflict.

Syria's military later reported that three people had died in the Israeli attack.

On Thursday, the Kremlin called on Israel and Iran to ease tensions through diplomatic means, spokesperson Dmitry Peskov told reporters.

President Trump weighs in on W. Va. Senate race
Trump tweeted early Monday morning about the race. "While doing so, Mitch has gotten rich", Blankenship continued. The ad also drew criticism for the use of the term " China family ", to describe McConnell's in-laws.

"A number of rockets were intercepted by the Iron Dome aerial defense system", the army said.

In a rare public gesture by an Arab government, Bahrain expressed its support for the Israeli air raids.

"Should there be another Iranian attack, we will be prepared for it", he said.

Israeli Merkava tanks are deployed near the Israeli-Syrian border on Thursday in the Israeli-annexed Golan Heights.

For Iran's part, the growing convergence between the Arab monarchies, Israel, and the U.S. - and the rise of American officials with visceral hostility to Tehran - increases the importance of preserving leverage against these adversaries not only in Syria and Lebanon, but also in Iraq, Yemen and elsewhere. France went as far as saying that Iran's actions toward Israel merit revisiting and expanding the Iran nuclear deal to rein in Tehran's regional activity. Its resources in Syria pale in comparison to the high-tech Israeli military.

The fact that after the Americans ' withdrawal from the nuclear deal, life in the middle East has suffered greatly.

"It would also be to some extent helpful to the Kremlin if Iran is weakened because this would mean it will limit Iran's ability to compete with Russian Federation in the Middle East in the future", said Borschchevskaya. Israeli fighter jets struck a Syrian army position south of Damascus, a pro-Assadcommander said. Israel fired back on Thursday, hitting dozens of Iranian targets in Syria.

In an interview with the Greek newspaper Kathimerini published Thursday, Assad said fears of a third world war erupting in Syria were misplaced, despite escalating tensions.

Israel considers Iran to be its most bitter enemy, citing Iran's hostile rhetoric, support for anti-Israel militant groups and development of long-range missiles. If anything, their subjugation helps Iran, as it creates endless amounts of cover to launch various operations against Israel.
